While the agenda is full for the Machine-Readable Bibliographic Information Commitee (MARBI), there aren't a lot of proposals and papers. The big proposal is a proposal for changes to most of the MARC21 formats to allow for German and Austrian conversion to MARC21. This proposal contains thirteen subproposals and includes adding field 751 to allow the addition of authority-controlled geographic names for such places as place of publication, place of distribution, place of a university where a dissertation was submitted, and place of an event.

There's a discussion paper from the California Digital Library and the Library of Congress that explores what data elements are needed to allow users to determine the copyright status of digitized materials. Those involved in digitization projects might want to take a look at the discussion paper.

These are the two biggies for the cartographic community as I see the agenda.
