The U. S. Geological Survey's, National Mapping Division is replacing
the "green" State Topographic Map Index booklets with new single sheet
Indexes of the States.  Copies are being sent out to Depository Libraries
as they are completed for each State.
 
The "brown" Catalogs of Published Topographic Maps of the States are to
be retained as reference to the maps on the new Indexes, and are to be
used to place orders correctly with our Map Distribution Branch, Denver,
Colorado.  These Catalogs are to be updated later and will be replaced
in time.  The Depository Libraries will then be sent copy as they become
available.
