Our collection was heavily weeded a couple years ago when the library
was relocated to a smaller space. The gazetteers were a casualty of that
move. When I arrived last year I learned that several members of the
cartographic staff, particularly those who do map research and
editing--and all of whom are well acquainted with GNIS and GEOnet--were
sorry to have lost access to the print editions. So I started rebuilding
the collection. I don't expect them to see a *lot* of use, but that's OK
w/ me. Many things that don't get used often are still worth having (IMO).
