Listers,

In a move that will shake the business mapping world, Microsoft announced
today that the newest member of the Office family is Microsoft MapPoint
2000!

Set to release in Q2 of 1999, the product "combines complete, accurate
geographic and demographic data with easy-to-use analysis tools. MapPoint
makes it easy for business users in organizations of any size to use maps to
make better-informed business decisions."

GDT Street maps, Claritas demographics --- all for $109!

Microsoft has opened a web site at http://www.microsoft.com/mappoint/

Directions magazine has begun following the story at
http://www.directionsmag.com/news.asp?NewsID=7

Won't this put some life in the party?

Regards,

Scott Elliott
