The hydrogeological map available from UNESCO was advertised in the
October 1993 issue of Geotimes in the New Book section on page 39. It
is available in paper, four sheets 39"X54", 1:10,000,000 and also on
a 3.5 or 5.25 inch computer diskette or CD-ROM. According to the ad,
the map illustrates average long-term values of ground-water
discharge, types and subtypes of ground-water flow recharge, ground-
water quality and sea-water intrusion into coastal aquifers. The
digital maps are available for the world ($275); for individual
continents ($165) or individual countries ($95).

Has anyone seen the map or used the CD-ROM?
