The topic of LIBRARY SECURITY FOR MAP COLLECTIONS: THE FUTURE will be
discussed at the meeting of MAGERT's Research Libraries Map Collection
Management Group at ALA Midwinter in San Antonio.  This timely discussion
will be co-chaired by David Cobb (Harvard Map Collection) and Alice Hudson
(New York Public Library Map Division).  Among the topics to be discussed
are: existing security guideline documents; security policies; access to
rare materials; physical facilities; staffing and other questions from the
