We are concerned about how some of our friends who work with map collections
survived the Earthquakes.  Since we don't want to overburden the phone
lines to call friends, we were hoping someone from the LA area could let
us know when they learn how the librarians and their libraries fared.  We
all hope everyone is healthy and suffered only minor loses.  It is sad to
see how many people have lost so much.  Hopefully things will settle down
for a while and their won't be any more deaths or injuries.
