Quoted from Lovell's Gazetteer of British North America, 1895:
"CRINAN, a post office in Elgin co., Ont., 5 1/2 miles from Bismarck
Station, on Michigan Central Ry. It contains 1 Presbyterian church,
1 cheese factory and 1 brick and tile yard. Pop. 50."

According to the 1974 edition of the Ontario valume of the Gazetteer of
Canada, Crinan Ontario is in Aldborough Township of Elgin County at
42 degrees 40 minutes North Latitude and 81 degrees 39 minutes West
Longitude.

The Gazetter of Ontario, 1988 shows it at 42deg.39', 81deg.39'. It appears
to be a crossroads about four miles north of West Lorne, on Highway 76.

According to the Canadian government gazetteer for Ontario (1988, 4th ed)
Crinan is a community/agglomeration at 42 39 lat and 81 39 long and is
on NTS sheet 40 I/12 (1:50 000). In the 1962 ed of the gazetteer it is
listed as a post office in Aldborough Tp., Elgin Co.

Crinan is located in southwest Ontario, 42 degrees 39'N, 81 degrees,
39'W. It is in Aldborough Township, Elgin County. If you have the
Canada NTS 1:50,000 series, it is on sheet 40 I/12.
