Hello,

There is an interesting article on the ABC News webpage about a
just-published book about the notorious map thief, Gilbert Bland.  The
book is called "The Island of Lost Maps," by Miles Harvey.  According to
the article, the author states some reasons that Bland was able to get
away with what he did, and some of the reasons involve the actions (or
lack thereof) of the librarians at the various institutions he
plundered, as well as police and university officials.  Anyway, here's
