For those of you going to the American Library Assn. midwinter
conference in Phiadelphia, and who aren't up on what's going on
with the government documents folks, you might be
interested in a couple of the speakers mentioned in the message
copied below. These folks may not themselves be experts in
spatial data, but they might relate some useful news or be open
to questions. (I don't know what exactly they plan to talk
about.)
 
Jim Gegan, Bureau of Land Management, Eastern States, General
Land Office.  This is the agency who provides the land patent
information from many of the public land states in the eastern
part of the U.S.
 
Barbara Post, National Transportation Library (Bureau of
Transportation Statistics).
 
Place and time listed below.  These two speakers are speaking
towards the end of the Saturday 9:30 - 12:30 slot.  Map people
may also be interested in some of the other speakers, too.
