i remember seeing a popular 'maps' book
written by a geographer who takes maps
and looks at them by themes. such as,
creating a map of the United States by
"first name", and then listing all of
the towns named after first names. i
think this is a key text to finding a
geographer who has done this work before.

  good luck,
