Dave Soller at USGS would like potential users to test this and provide
comments.

Subject: NGMDB Map Catalog prototype in Google Earth

Hi -

I'm pleased to tell you that the NGMDB project and the Portland
State University Geology Department (PSU) have developed a prototype
that displays NGMDB Map Catalog search results in Google Earth.
Please see the link to this prototype, at
http://ngmdb.usgs.gov/ngmdb/ngm_catalog.ora.html .

We're excited about this feature, and hope that it will appeal to
users by offering a Google-Earth view of map locations linked to
NGMDB product description pages that in turn contain links to the
publishing agency.

If you would like to comment on this prototype, please click on the
Comments link on that page -- your message then will be sent to me
and David Percy (PSU).

Thanks!

Dave
