Buy your map room a copy of World Mapping Today by R.B. Parry and C.R.
Perkins (London, Bowker-Saur, 2000, ISBN 1857390350) which lists all the
official topographic mapping, what's been done, history of mapping, and
addresses of official agencies for every country in the world. No map
collection should be without it.

I have had a request for topographical maps of El Pico de Orizaba. We
do
not have topo maps of Mexico and I haven't found any online. The
student
also asked if there were a group in Mexico similar to USGS, their
website
and also address.

If anyone has information, I would appreciate it. I am rather new to the
map
room, so even if something seems "obvious" to you, I may not know it.
