for both private and government sectors, has the following outstanding career
opportunity available:
 
 
POSITION TITLE:         GIS Programmer / Analyst
 
 
OFFICE LOCATION:                Baltimore, MD
 
 
DESCRIPTION:
 
Under limited supervision, work with spatial data using industry standard
formats and programs. Receive spatial data from a variety of sources and
formats, edit, register and normalize this data.  Build GIS databases based on
this information, transfer GIS and other data between industry standard
databases using ODBC, SQL and other interfaces; be proficient in GIS and
database query methodology; write MS ACCESS and MS Visual Basic programs in
support of the GIS and database efforts.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
BS in appropriate scientific field
1-5 + years of experience.
Strong Graphical Information System and Computer Science background required.
Experience with ArcView required.
Intermediate programming skills in MS Visual Basic required.
Experience with database systems such as MS ACCESS required.
