Our’s is the red leatherette and just starting to be sticky – you can leave fingerprints on it. I guess the different amounts of stickiness depends on the humidity and temperature of storage!
Thanks for the call out about it, I’ll now talk to our conservators...

Our's is a dark navy blue leather and it is fine. It is smooth but not sticky.

All,
Our student working in the stacks discovered that our copy of Atlas cartograìfico del Reino de Chile, siglos XVII-XIX (https://UOLibraries.on.worldcat.org/oclc/9022371) is extremely sticky. I suspect that whatever faux leather material it was bound with is degrading. Has anyone else encountered this situation?
We are having our copy rebound.
