Linda and Others: There was a merger of parts of the Publications Division
into the Topographic Division and the Geologic Division MORE THAN 8 YEARS
AGO. This is what broght about the name change too the current National
Mapping Div.

Please don't believe any of what you hear and maybe 1/2 of what you read.

There has been no demise of the Reports, Circular, Prof. Paper, and what ever
series there are. There may be a slow down of these reports due to the
latest major happenings here at USGS. But surely no shut down. We are still
alive and kicking. With hopefully a better future with a leaner/meaner team.
