     As a service to the profession, MAGERT has added a new page to its
Website.  The page can be found by clicking on "How to Get Help from
Colleagues" on the MAGERT home page
(http://www.sunysb.edu/libmap/magert1.htm).

     The "How to Get Help from Colleagues" page refers people to Maps-L,
other listservs, and WAML's "Map Librarian's Tool Box."  In addition we are
instituting a new service--intended only for other librarians or
cartographic information specialists--called "Ask a Map or GIS Librarian."
We list there a number of people who are willing to consult by e-mail or
phone concerning professional questions that may not be appropriate for
discussion on a listserv.  Please do not hestitate to use this service.
Also, additional volunteers to serve as expert consultants in specific
areas would be welcome.
