The Journal of Maps is pleased to announce a special issue on Cognitive
Mapping. This issues demonstrates the wide application of "mapping" and
how it can be utilised across disciplines. This issue also contains our
first map (Brennan-Horley) that takes advantage of the 3D modeling
capabilities of Acrobat to present a surface visualisation that is fully
interactive.



It is also with great pleasure that we can inform you that Thomson
Reuters released their 2009 Impact Factors recently, with the Journal of
Maps impact factor currently calculated as 0.935. This is a significant
"entry" in to the market and really places a marker in terms of the
importance of mapping across disciplines.
