****I also posted this to GIS-L, but am posting it here in desperation****
From the subject, you can probably guess what my problem involves:
I'm trying to digitize a large island's coastline from 1:25000 maps (10-20),
using the digitizing program that came with IDRISI (named TOSCA), and am using
a Kurta IS/ONE 12x17 tablet. I have managed to get the setup to work, but am
anxious to get things working optimally (both the switches on the tablet, and
the setting in the IDRISI.DIG file). Unfortunately, my school doesn't seem to
have the neccesary manuals to determine these, and the staff is so overworked
that they are unable to give me the needed assistance on short notice.
If anyone has worked with this setup and knows, please send me:

--appropriate switch settings for the Kurta IS/ONE 12x17 tablet (4-button puck
with cord) to work with IDRISI/TOSCA.

--correct values for the IDRISI.DIG file to work with this tablet.

Also, I would welcome any tips on digitizing from maps that are several
times the size of the digitizing tablet, and the feasibility of doing this into
ONE file, not a bunch of separate files.

                REPLY TO ME DIRECTLY, PLEASE
THANKS!
David Nicolson
