Hi Maps-L,

The UC Berkeley Earth Sciences and Map Library staff are working toward
georeferencing many of the maps that are scanned here at the library. As
we're still in the planning stages for this undertaking, I was wondering if
anyone had any experiences, good or bad, with specific georeferencing software?

Ideally, we're looking for a solution that could be easily inserted into the
scanning workflow and used by specialists and non-specialists alike. Maybe
something lightweight and open source?

Any information or experiences you'd like to share is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
