RE: Dup Topos Needing Homes

During the past year the local post of the Corps of Engineers has
phased out their map library, and I have been the proud recipient
of about 15,000 maps, mostly USGS 7.5 and 15 minute topos of the
Ohio Valley. We have sorted and added the maps we need for the
U. Cincinnati collection. When they gave us the maps, the people
from the Corps asked me to pass on any dups to other libraries.
They asked that the maps go to a library in the state of origin
and that no maps be discarded. So far I have given all maps from
a state to one library in that state, and I would prefer to continue
that policy. If you take a state, maps you can't use should be
passed on to another library, if possible. All of this is not
written in stone, but I am letting recipients know of the request.
Here is what I have left:

Alabama (3 inches of 7.5 topos and 1 inch of 15 topos - mostly
        northern part of the state)
West Virginia (7 inches of 7.5 topos and 2 inches of 15 topos)
North Carolina (2 inches all topos - mostly western part of state)
Georgia (2 inches all topos - mostly northern part of state)
Virginia (2 inches all topos - mostly western part of state)
Mississippi (1.5 inches all topos - mostly northern part of state)
Maryland (1 inch all topos - mostly western part of state)
Michigan (1 inch all topos - mostly southern part of state)

Please reply by August 22. I will pay postage. First preference
will be given to a library in the state of map coverage.
