Ted Florence <[log in to unmask]> asked:

Can anyone help me figure out how many cartographers and geographers
there are in the US?
Thank you

As I haven't seen an answer to this one yet, I'll give it a shot, out of vague
memory...

1. Go to the Library
2. Go to the Government Documents department, desk, whatever
3. Ask them for the US Census publication which lists stats on professions
4. Find answer

Sorry I can't give a proper citation to the Census publication, but I strongly
suspect such a thing exists, as I've seen it back in the days when I worked in
American public libraries (big ones, I must admit).

April
