I have a map title that may be of interest to some of the subscribers.
The map depicts the battle for Iwo Jima at the end of the first day of the
assault. It is a 24 x 36 inch map, one side at a scale of 1:12000. The
map is formatted after the original Air Gunnery and Target Map produced
for the invasion. Details include topography, airfields, landing beaches,
which USMC units landed during the first day of the assault, their
locations at the end of the day, the Japanese defensive positions based on
a ground study, the original reference systems from the period map, along
with Lat/Long and UTM tics. There are also 2 CD-ROMs available detailing
the battle that are suitable for checkout items. The map runs $10.00 and
shipping in a 2" tube runs $4.85. Details for online purchasing the map
are available at:

My last post dealt with the Forest Service Maps published by the Northern
Region, this is NOT a forest service map.
