  WHAT IS ONLINE NORTHWEST?
A one-day conference that examines the use of technology in libraries,
attracting librarians from the Pacific Northwest and around the country.
Past attendees report that they value the conference for its accessible
size, timely content and pragmatic focus. The conference is sponsored by the
Oregon University System.

WHEN IS THE CONFERENCE?
January 21, 2005 (this will be the 22nd annual conference)

WHERE IS THE CONFERENCE?
CH2M Hill Alumni Center, Corvallis, Oregon (on the Oregon State University
campus)

WHAT TOPICS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
The coordinating committee seeks presentations that discuss how technology
is being applied within library settings and how technology is affecting
library patrons and services.  We are especially interested in presentations
that discuss innovative uses of technology. We strongly encourage academic,
public, school, and special librarians to submit proposals.  All topics
relating to technology and libraries are welcome, including (for example):

*Resource sharing applications (e.g. ILL, document delivery)
*Collection development and assessment applications
*Assessing the impact of technology on patrons or services
*User interface design and evaluation
*Metadata design, application, and evaluation
*Approaches to managing or promoting electronic resources
*Creating and managing archives of digitized materials
*Current trends in online instruction

HOW ARE PRESENTERS COMPENSATED?
One speaker per presentation receives complimentary registration to the
conference.
