Scanner and map conservation

I have spoken with restaurorers of our library and they have also fear of
scanning maps.
We have decided to make first a colour microfilm. This colour microfilm is
very useful.
On the WWW-site of the Ryhiner Project you will find a contribution of Martin
Gubler and Thomas Klvti: "The colour microfilm as preliminary stage of digital
maps" (http://ubeclu.unibe.ch/stub/ryhiner/ry-micr1.html)

With kind regards

Dr. Thomas Klvti
