Invitation & Announcement:

WAML Spring Meeting will be held at Brigham Young University's Harold B. Lee
Library in Provo, Utah May 10-11 with a field trip on May 12. Registration
will
be $25.


Besides the usual motels available, discount housing will be available in BYU
Dorms for approx.
$40 per person for all 3 nights (Wed-Fri)
Dorm housing for married couples will also be available at the same price.


Some topics of speakers include: cave mapping, mapping the universe, the
Wheeler Survey of Utah & the West, mapping the new West, Salt Lake City Family
History Center maps & atlases, 19th century female travelers to the Middle
East, aerial photography using remote control airplanes, maps & other
geographic resources in genealogical research, maps-lost treasure-early
exploration of the Uintah Mtn region, Utah.


Other activities:
Wednesday night pre-conference gathering
Thursday night special presentation for WAML at the UVSC Planetarium
Thursday morning map preservation workshop
Saturday Field Trip includes special behind the scenes tour of largest
Dinosaur
Museum.
