I do believe that tiny tiny jpeg text says 'Eckardt Pseudocylindrical.'

But looking here:
    http://www.progonos.com/furuti/MapProj/Dither/ProjPCyl/projPCyl.html

it seems not to match any of the Eckardt examples.
