One and a half year appointment at instructor rank effective
January 2001 (Spring Term 2001).

Ph.D. is required; ABD will be considered.  Teaching assignments
will include general education sections of world geography, the
geography of Russia, Asia, and climatology.  Applicants must
demonstrate competence in GIS and/or remote sensing.  Candidates
must also demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence at the
undergraduate level and teaching effectiveness in university
studies courses (50-60 students).  The teaching load is twelve
semester hours per semester.  Salary is competitive at this level.

Send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching excellence,
and three letters of recommendation to:  Dr. Ann Legreid, Department
