Hi;

Thanks to everyone (alot of you!) that sent info. After looking into all
the suggestions, I'd recommend:

for info on just on mountains around the world -
an out of print book by John Cleare titled "Guide to Mountains and
Mountaineering". Sometimes available from Chessler Books or Adventurous
Traveler.

The other one that turned out to be useful was
John Wiley's "World Facts and Figures", 1989, still in print.

Cheers,
Russell Guy
