Yes, you should look for "mailing tubes" from places that sell office
supplies.  For instance, these are in the 1999 OfficeMax catalog on
page 84.  $2 for a 36" long tube, or $1.29 for a 24" long tube
(adequate for a 1:24,000 quad map).  We have a catalog from a local
office supply store (one of those massive generic office supply
catalogs that local places put their own covers on) that has a much
bigger variety of lengths and diameters (but, unfortunately, not
cheaper).
