For general information -- the train (AMTRAK) from Seattle to Portland is
very economical and takes just about the same time as the drive. They put
the new high speed trains into service before I left Oregon 2 years ago and
I was able to do the Albany to Seattle trip in 6 hours for $40 r/t, so
going to Portland would be cheaper and take about 2 hours less.
I don't know about getting from the airport to Amtrak however.
