Hello Linda Z-
  In response to your query of the USGS future Orthophoto Quads in preparation
on CD ROMS for the U.S..  The Super Video Graphics Array (SVGA), 640 X 480 pixel
sl
, 256 shades of grey, capability should be adequate.  Also to be considered
would be 4-8 bytes of memory on the PC to be used with "windows".  The CD ROMS
should work well on the CD ROM players without any additional software.
