I don't know if this is the same, but I'll offer the name "Nachod"
(nak'od) a town of Bohemia, 19 miles N. E. of Koniggratz, on the Mettau.
population 3537.  (umlauts over "o" and "a" in Koniggratz.  This cite
is from the 1882 edition of Lippincott's gazetteer of the world.
