Geography and Map Libraries Section Field Trip

Travel south from Bangkok, to the Malay Peninsula, along the
western shore of the Gulf of Thailand, to Prachuap Khiri Khan,
at Thailand's narrowest point (7.5 miles/12 km across).  Visit
important cultural sites, a village where traditional fishing
boats are built, a town known for its seafood, a border
settlement next to  Myanmar (Burma), and a pineapple plantation.
Return to Bangkok in the early evening.

The 66th IFLA General Conference will be held from  August 13 through
August 18, 2000 in Jerusalem.  Future conferences are:  Boston,
Massachusetts, USA, August 16 through August 25, 2001; Glasgow,
Scotland, UK, August 18 through August 24, 2002; and Berlin, Germany,
August 1 through August 8, 2003.
