As a unit within the Main Library, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC),
the Map Section and the State ESIC Network Office will be affected by the
following service restriction.  Please do not refer users to UIC during the
hours of closure.
 
Effective Thursday August 8 through Friday August 16, 1996 the Main Library
of the University of Illinois at Chicago will have the following restricted
hours:
     Weekdays:
        8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.  - Open
        9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  - Closed
        4:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  - Open
 
     Weekend:                    Closed
 
During the restricted hours all library staff will participate in a major
shift, shelf reading, and bar coding of the library's book collections.  No
public services, either in person or by telephone, etc., will be available
during the time the building is closed.
