Subject: Looking for historic maps of Tahrir Square in Downtown Cairo

All,

I'm working with a Landscape Architecture Student who has a project
dealing with Tahrir Square in Downtown Cairo. He is looking for historic
maps, possibly as far back as the original design. Our collection is
very limited. Does anyone have maps they would be willing to loan us or
send us a copy?

Below is a little more information about the square:

"Tahrir was also known as Midan Ismailiyya, named after Khedive Ismail.
The man responsible for designing Tahrir as a part of the greater design
of Downtown Cairo was Ali Pasha Mubarak. He studied in Paris between
1844 and 1849, and his compendium/descriptions of Cairo are included in
a work called al-Khitat al-Tawfiqiyya al-Jadida."

Thanks in advance,

--
