Recently announced changes in the Depository Library Program, and
changes in mapping technology are having a profound impact on map and
geographic information collections. In an effort to inform and prepare
librarians working with cartographic information about these changes,
the Library of Congress, Geography & Map Division and the Cartographic
Users Advisory Council are organizing a conference on Map & Geographic
Information Collections in Transition. The conference will be held at
the Library of Congress, May 12-13, 2005.

The preliminary agenda is below
