I see no paradox.  Like the government lady said, she can only accept
comments from citizens of her country.  I ask you: what's the matter with
YOUR government not asking for YOUR opinion?
 
Paradox?  Nope.   Problem?  Probably, but it ain't on our side of the
Atlantic ...
