Forwarded for those (especially in North America, with possibility of a
future PBS transmission) who are not subscribers to ‘Lis-maps’. The
_cartographic_ content, or interest, is more in the editions of 1607
onwards when maps were added by Messrs Hole, Kip, Norden sr, and Saxton.

'Nicholas Crane's Britannia:the great Elizabethan journey'

New Series 1/3

The Radio Times description reads as follows:

"Printed in 1586, William Camden's Britannia was one of the publishing
sensations of the Elizabethan age ... This three part series sees
Nicholas Crane embarking on a 5.000-mile trek to re-discover this "lost"
masterpiece, beginning with England and Wales.
