Rich:

North West Islet is visible on two Royal Australian Navy Hydrographic
Service nautical charts: AUS 700 'Torres Strait' (April 1995 - 1:50,000)
and AUS 294 'Endeavour Strait' (November 1988 - 1:75,000) at the
coordinates given in your message. The islet is just off of the larger
Prince of Wales Island (north of Queensland) in the Torres Strait
separating Australia and Papua New Guinea.

I will be happy to provide a few digital images if it assists your reader.

Hi,

I have a patron trying to confirm and locate North West Island off of
Queensland, Australia. <http://Australia. >I have identified and located
two islands by that
name but one is in Western Australia, the other in Northern Territory.
<http://Territory. >There
is a North West Islet that the coordinates place off the very northern tip
of Queensland but I don't see it on anything I have (10-40 s x 142-07
e). <http://e).>
Does anybody have a chart that identifies the islet. <http://islet. >I
also saw a couple of
Northwest Reefs and a West Island but putting the two together as an island
is eluding me.Thanks. <http://me.Thanks.>
