Please excuse the cross-posting.

Dear map and history of cartography community,

Senate House Library, University of London is pleased to announce the
completion of the cataloguing of the E.G.R. Taylor Collection of
Historic Printed Maps. This collection of over 900 map sheets,
representing 96 individual and series titles, and dating between 1700
and 1900, was presented to Senate House Library by Birkbeck College,
where E.G.R. Taylor was Chair of the Department of Geography from 1930
until 1944.

Thanks to a generous grant from SHELF, the Friends of Senate House
Library, which enabled cataloguing and preservation treatments, records
are now available on Senate House Library's main catalogue on
http://catalogue.ulrls.lon.ac.uk/ and on COPAC on http://copac.ac.uk/.
The maps are available for consultation in the Special Collections
Reading Room in the Senate House Library.

Please see a description of the collection at:
http://www.shl.lon.ac.uk/specialcollections/egrtaylormaps.shtml

Please also see other map resources in Special Collections at
http://www.shl.lon.ac.uk/specialcollections/index.shtml

For those not familiar with COPAC, it provides free access to the merged
online catalogues of major University and National Libraries in the UK
and Ireland, including the British Library. Please note that many of
the map records included in COPAC are not available via OCLC, and thus
represent an additional source of information about maps and for
cataloguing copy.
