Tim,

Not that I know of amongst my colleagues. There was an ALCTS
Preconference map cataloging workshop, co-sponsored by MAGERT, in New
Orleans at ALA Annual, and there is a planned 2-day map cataloging
workshop focused on historical maps and atlases upcoming at the June
2007 annual conference in Washington, D.C.
