Reminder--The FGDC Invites Comment on the FGDC Metadata
Standard=20
 
The period for public comment on the revison of the Federal Geographic
Data
Committee=D5s Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata will
close July 9, 1997.The primary review activity will be conducted on the
Internet, using Web sites, electronic mail and an on-line HyperNews
threaded discussion.  However, Internet access is not required, and
participants wishing to use other means should contact the FGDC.  Review
participants will receive an acknowledgment as well as notification of
how their comments were addressed.  After the formal adoption of the
revised standard by the FGDC, the revised standard and summary analysis
will be made available on the FGDC home page.
