I'd like insight on binding the new class G book.  The perfect binding
looks pretty good (fairly flexible glue), but perhaps will start to fall
apart in a couple of years. The gutter seems deep enough except for the
maps, where the maps titles will obliterated.  The subject cutters that
they left out could be reduced from my letter-sized printouts and tipped
in, but where?  "G" ends on the right and "GA" begins on the back of
that same leaf, so it can't go where it was in the 1976 edition.  I
thought the best place was right after the summary and before the maps,
which are also unpaginated.

What have others done?

Incidently, this library in general doesn't use LC classification (uses
Dewey), except for Maps, which is sort of LC's Trojan Horse in the
library. :-)  Anyway, most of the class books we get on deposit don't
need to be bound due to lack of use, but we have several copies of "G"
floating around in Maps and Cataloging that do get used.
