I just had occasion to use them last week. They work well. I was able
to manipulate them and size them for the client's needs.

     Dear Colleagues,

Apologies in advance if I've overlooked a review of the current
product.
Have MAPS-L readers have seen or used the Digital Nautical Chart (DNC®)
     at http://dnc.nga.mil/NGAPortal/DNC.portal ?

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) describes their DNC®
as "an unclassified, vector-based digital database containing maritime
significant features essential for safe marine navigation."

As U.S. depository libraries no longer receive printed charts on
deposit
and no charts have been distributed since late 2008, would anyone
comment as to whether this online resource is a good substitute?

Thanks for any comments people are willing to share.
