We keep the envelopes only when they include useful text/legend etc that
pertains to the map.

We also keep them where the map has a text sheet or booklet with it, so
the envelope is useful as a unform-sized container for the shet/booklet.
The maps go flat in plancabinets, the envelopes with the text sheets
inside go on bookshelves in our stacks area along with all 'attachments'
such as notes booklets etc, filed in G-schedule order the same as the map.

We add "+ booklet" to our call number on the map, so when someone
retrieves the map they know there's an attachment to go with it.
