A librarian occasionally gets acknowledged in a preface to a book.
Seldom is a map librarian named in an article by one of Anerica's most
distinguised essayists. However, our colleague at UC-Davis is among those
present in an article by John McPhee in the June 28th issue of the New
Yorker. "Duty of care"--about the fate of old tires--mentions Dave
Lundquist, and his copies of the Solyo 7.5 quad and ASCS photo 507-52.
