Please mark your calendar!

On May 30, 2008, the AGS Library will celebrate the 30th anniversary of
its arrival at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and you will soon
receive an invitation from UWM Chancellor Santiago to attend the several
exceptional events planned for the occasion:

*. 4:30 p.m. The annual Holzheimer “Maps and America” Lecture, this year
featuring Alastair Pearson, University of Portsmouth (UK) and Michael
Heffernan, University of Nottingham (UK).

*. 6 p.m. American Geographical Society of New York Awards Ceremony.

*. 7:30 p.m. 30th Anniversary Celebratory Dinner. $45 per person;
R.S.V.P. by May 16, 2008.

Sponsors include the UWM Libraries, American Geographical Society of New
York, Art and Janet Holzheimer, and the Friends of the Golda Meir Library.
