A library colleague suggested I send this query (which I posted to
govdoc-l) to this list. Please reply to me since I don't subscribe to
maps-l. Thanks in advance for any info.

One of our geology faculty (the one in charge of maintaining the topo map
collection, a labor of love) asked me if there was a cd-rom or online
source which would list which are the most recent versions of topo
quadrangles. I wandered around in the usgs sites for a while and didn't
find a list like this; I rather suspect one doesn't exist. But I really
don't know too much about the map scene, so I thought I'd ask here for
the final authority.

Thanks for any info, even a negative answer.
