I do not know of any Town index to the "Karte des Deutschen Reiches im Ma[ss]stabe 1:100.000". However Index-maps to the series were published in Petermann's Geographische Mitteilungen:
56th annual, 1910, Tafel 9
57th annual, 1911, I, Tafel 18
58th annual, 1912, Tafel 23
59th annual, 1913, Tafel 17
60th annual, 1914, Tafel 18
61st annual, 1915, Tafel 14
62nd annual, 1916, Tafel 15
63rd annual, 1917, Tafel 10
64th annual, 1918, Tafel 13
65th annual, no mention of this index
66th annual, 1920, Tafel 14
67th annual, 1921, Tafel 11
68th annual, 1922, Tafel 5
69th annual, 1923, Tafel 4
70th annual, 1924, Tafel 7
71st annual, 1925, Tafel 12

For other index-sheets of German produced series around this time see Index D-1 on the CD-rom accompanying Petermann's Maps, 2004, ISBN 90-6194-249-7.

With kind regards,

Question: I am working with a number of "Grossblatt" [1:100,000]
maps from the classic series:
_*/Karte des Deutschen Reiches/*_
- started ca 1880's and continued into the 1940's.

Do you know of a town index to this great series ?

Sincerely,

Ken Craft
